The next bar we have been visiting is "The Duchess". It is a relatively new rooftop bar in Budapest and a rooftop bar that is worth a visit. As the name, The Duchess, implies this is an exceptional place. You arrive in the lobby of an exclusive hotel with marble floors and a butler to make sure that you find your way to the elevator. Already here, this place is a bit more of an exclusive. When you arrive at the top you enter a quite dark room with lights at the tables and in the bar. This makes it a luxury look. You are being met by a waitress in a nice suit and tie that follow you to your table. We got a table at the window where we had a wonderful view over the lightened-up Elisabeth bridge. To the other side we could see the tower of the hotel that also was lit up. The waitress came with the drink menu and we had a nice chit chat with him. He asked questions about where we came from and made us laugh about a joke. He really understood how to make people feel good and how to give a special service experience.
The drink menu was not the usual drink menu but home crafted cocktails with names like Down Under, Kanpai and less drama. When we got the drinks we also got some juicy olives and spicy nuts to enjoy along with the drinks. It was really delicious. And of course, the drinks were really delicious too. The people visiting the place were formal and nicely dressed. But some of them for a reason too because their Instagram or social media should have an update. It is the perfect place for elegant pictures due to the stylish interior. At this time of the year everyone was sitting inside because it is cold. But in the summer, it is possible to sit outside on the big terrace. And we can image just how good the summer vibes there will be with drinks, warm air, chill music and the amazing view of the city. We went outside to see the view and it is amazing. You can see the view in the video.
We will definitely recommend The Duchess for a night out in a special occasion or if you need to update your Instagram ;)
